ABOUT STEP:
Is a
non profit, volunteer and non Governmental organization. STEP inaugurated in 2000, to support community and participation
for development at grass root level. STEP is community based organization working directly with the grass roots community
with the methodology of Participation, Awareness and Education. STEP is also planned to train the focus community to plan
their own programs and find the resources for their social and economic sustainability and viability. STEP based at Faisalabad the
city of Pakistan. It is at distance of 375 kilometers from
the capital of Pakistan. Faisalabad
is the third biggest city of Pakistan. The population of Faisalabad
is 1.9 millions. It is industrial and textiles city of Pakistan.
People of the area especially women are deprived part of the society. They realized that their unity would change their marginalized
life. So with the passage of time they themselves realized their problems which are hurdle in the way of their development.
With few community meetings they became able to decide that a group is the present need of the areas which can assist to solve
their problems. So resultantly they developd an Organization named

Objectives:
- To assist people for self development and primary
health Programs
- To establish NGO, s CBO, s and community groups at local level and link with the others Youth
groups having sustainable grass root movements.
- To help the people for awareness the root causes of their poverty, skilled training and
economic activities.
- To assist people to change their unsatisfactory situation.
- To assist people for peace and Harmony activities and social transformation.
- To formats the Local committees for the Problems solutions.
- Hygienic and Sanitation awareness among local communities.
